Revlon Just Bitten Kissable balm stain in Honey

I'm not sure if this is called " honey douche" or just "honey". Lol I know that sounds crazy but yes, I'm not sure. Either way, I do like it. I like the tip. As if it is a crayon or marker I can draw my lips and fill them in. It's very moisturising and for being the lightest color in the collection its a very bold color. I purchased this color in particular because I wanted a natural-like color that I can where at work and honestly see how well the color "stains". I was thinking it would come out a nude/muave color which it kind of did only a little bolder but  now I really want to try a bright pink color. At about 8 dollars each I doubt I will be buying to many of these but I do recommend them. I love it!

Reading Review : Mindy Kaling

I know that if I am to have a blog, I should pick a subject to dedicate my blog to and stick to it. I am not very good at doing as I am told and therefore I am going to be adding more things to my blog simply because I wish. :) Lately I have been on a reading frenzy. Partly because I have to much time on my hand and mostly because I have to much time on my hands. I have been checking out a book at my local library only to finish it within a 24 hour time period, return it and check out another. I saw a sign in the library that mentioned speed reading, I suppose that this is what I am doing. On another note, why have I been buying books that I am only going to read once( I absolutely hate reading what I already read, I do the same thing with movies as well), when I could have been checking them out at the library for a 100% savings? I am rediculous, that is why. I now have a new found love for my public library.

Enter: Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?(And Other Concerns)
I saw a review for this book in a magazine a few years/months ago, I'm not too sure when, but when I saw it on display my jaw dropped and I took a look around to make sure no one saw me making such a big deal out of a library book. I am a fish out of water. I had just finished reading Chelsea Handler's Bang Bang about a month or so ago and ever since then I have been craving to dedicate myself to a good read. I loved Bang Bang. I had never read written by a comic before because not until about a year ago did I even develop the slightest interest in becoming a book worm nor did I imagine myself blogging about it.
The other of this book has alot of similarites to Chelsea Handler and kind of compares herself with out comparing herself to Tina Fey and Chelsea Handler both. Which I then made a mental note to check out Tina Fey's book next. In comparison to Bang Bang, I am more fond of Mindy Kaling. Chelsea is deffinetely more provacative and talks more about sex,, drugs, alcohol and black men that Kaling although Handler is still oh-so-funny in her vulgar way. Kaling is funny but is also a bit conservative. I like this about her, it is not to say she is old fashioned and make her sound like someones grandma but she is old fashioned.
I absolutely love her opinions on things. She reminds me alot of myself; opinionated, passive agressive and adolesent issues with weight. Although my issues have followed all the way untill present day and the bullies didn't start in on my in high school, they started way before. I read this book super fast because I was super eager to find out what she was going to say next. I want to see her as a role model now. You know, I think I will just say she is now. She needs a poster. I highly recommend this one.

Favorite Quote That Stuck With Me :
“The chorus of “Jack and Diane” is: Oh yeah, life goes on, long after the thrill of living is gone. Are you kidding me? The thrill of living was high school? Come on, Mr. Cougar Mellencamp. Get a life.”

Review : Barlean's Omega Swirl Flax Oil

Hey you guys! So, I decided to come back and visit the blogger world for a while. I've been gone for a while but now I'm back! lol Moving on... I know this product is not so much a "beauty" product but it does have health benefits and we all know that  taking care of your body and watching what you put in it can effect things like your skin and hair which in turn has beauty benefits. So yes, Health and beauty go hand and hand. Do you think maybe that's why they have their usually partnered up at department stores? Hmmm... I'm thinkin' so!
Enter: Barlean's Organic Oil's Omega Swirl Flax Oil.  I actually got this product from a Klutch Box I received last month. I believe I paid 16 dollars or so for the box (similar to a birch box or glambag only the products are health related) and they sent me a full size bottle of this stuff. I looked it up and it retails for $20 dollars or so, depends on the retailer. So I believe I got a pretty good deal!
I'm not too sure if I like the taste. I take that back, I do not like the taste. Maybe that's because I bought these things called "slim shots" a few months back to lose weight (though I know that is not the best way to go about it but, yeah) and they tasted AWFUL so I tossed them. They had palm oil and some other oil and I'm thinking flax oil must have been one of the oils because it tasted just like them dang things. The bottle I have IS flavored with Strawberry and Banana so that helps, a little. I have tried taking them straight but then I have to have a chaser. haha. By that I mean juice or even water helps but I am so not a fan of the taste. I tried it in my oatmeal this morning and it wasn't that bad that way. My oatmeal already had a cinnamon flavor added to it so it helped dilute the flavor of the flax oil. I could still taste it a bit, I just tried not to think about it.
Over all I think it is a good product. I take this daily because I am not a big fan of fish therefore my body could really use the omega3 that I am depriving myself of. The flavor is a little too much for me to bare at times but its much better with that flavoring than the flax oil by itself. I will definetly purchase another bottle once this is all gone. Now, I want to try it out on my 4 (going on five)year old son and see how he reacts to it.

Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in "Blue Me Away"

Alright, So a few weeks ago I went shopping for drugstore nail polishes that I thought would fit really well in to the Easter/Springtime genre. Easter is over now and I am just now getting around to wearing one of the colors I picked out and that would be the Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in "Blue Me Away". The color is bright and wow does this polish dry fast! But this is not why I wanted to write about it. I had the polish on for not even an hour and when I went to go take a shower the color peeled RIGHT OFF of my finger. Like it was tape or something. It made me think of rubber cement. What kind of nail polish is this? Geesh well... now I know... Also an FYI I did not apply a base coat first which I do realize would have gave the polish more staying power but it would be nice if the color could stay longer than an hour without a base coat. I mean, is that so much to ask? lol

With love,

January MyGlam Bag - Review

HEY! Its been so long. This it my first new post for the new year so I decided 'what better way to start off my blog year than with MyGlam!'. This is my first bag and I was very pleased. I believe this is the second bag that has been sent out publicly since the start of the company. Now alot of people received their bag later than other s because of complications with the manufacturers or what not and some might still be waiting on their bag to show. I did not JUST  receive mine. It actually came in the mail last week and I am just now getting around to posting about it. I mean, thats what you are supposed to do when you get these kinds of things right? lol
Well I wasn't going to wait until I got around to posting on my blog to try out my products, I do not have that kind of patience. Therefor, I am going to review the MyGlam bag and let you know my thoughts on the products since I have already used them :)

As most know that follow or receive MyGlam know, the packaging is adorable. Not just the bag the products come in but the actual SHIPPING packaging. My mailman must have wondered what was inside of the bag being that I am sure he never delivered something so shiny! Well maybe so but I highly doubt it in this po-dunk town I live in lol.
(unfortunately my camera is out of commission at the moment so the pictures shown are not my own. Does that make me a theif? I sure hope not, well thanks for the pics anyways..whoever you are! )

I noticed that some lucky subscribers actually received more than on bag on accident. As I said, LUCKY!
When I opened the bag I first found the Freeman Feeling Beautiful Peel-Off Mask in Cucumber. It was obviously bigger than the MyGlam bag the rest in the products came in so I would say it wouldn't fit. I didn't mind any.
I don't use many masks let alone peel-off ones. So I don't really have products in mind to compare this one too but I did enjoy it. The product does indeed smell like cucumbers and the consistency is thick, not too liquid-y and runny and I liked that. It felt so cool and refreshing just putting it on my face. Also,my face didn't feel too tight as it was drying. When I took it off I could see my skin appeared brighter and was very softer. I've already used it twice.
There are other scents available as well the the company offers. When mine is out I will no doubt have to try one out, actually, why wait that long?
Now on to the rest of the package.
The bag looked like this. Although it looks alot better than in this picture. I like the way the products come in  little makeup bag with zippers so they can be reused. Not only is it a great way to market the MyGlam product but I will have endless amount of bags I can use for makeup or coins...tampons... lol whatever I will need a bag for. I'll have more to add to my collection.
Inside the bag were three things and three flyers from companies of the products inside and a flyer with a list of the products enclosed with descriptions and priced of the full size product. The other flyers give coupon codes exclusive to MyGlam members and ask for feedback.
First thing I pulled out of my eco-friendly themed MyGlam makeup bag was the Wen by Chaz Dean Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner. The bottle in the bag is not as big as the one shown below, it is actually a 2 fl oz tube but it is still alot of product.
Super excited was I that I was going to be able to try out a Wen product. My and my boyfriend had found ourselves a couple times watching the infomercials and contemplating trying it out. I followed the instructions and even left some in my hair as a leave in conditioner. My hair is soft but I'm not completely wowed by the product. I also wasn't too in love with the scent either. I didn't smell much almond but there was deffinetly mint in there. Not to say it smelled bad because it didn't by any means it just reminded me of something I would normally put on my feet. So when putting it in my hair it also reminded me of this SUPER STRONG shampoo my boyfriend uses for his dandruff. Thank goodness Wen's mint wasn't as over powering as that stuff though. Whew. Also, the consistency is very thin. I compared it to my Aussie Moist conditioner I am using that the moment and with the Wen, a little goes....not that far. I highly doubt I will be purchasing the full size ever.
Then I saw the Sheer Cover Concealer. The color is in Light/Medium. It is said to restore the skin's natural moisture balance due to the jojoba in the ingredients. The product is soo smooth and blends super well. I put  the light one under my eyes and the a slight amount of the medium on top of it so I didn't have a halo around my eyes. This product feels so high end. I love it. My Glamofluage from Hard Candy will soon be collecting dust.
Lastly is the Hot Ticket Nail Polish by The Balm in Call Me Iridescent. I wish I could have taken pictures of what it looks like when applied to the nails because it is absolutely gorgeous. The color is a baby pink with a lavender iridescence and glitter. I was suprised at how easily it applied and how well the glitter applies with the color. I only applied two coats to see how well the glitter would pile on and those two were all I needed. I could have stayed with one coat if I wanted the look to be more subtle. I was very pleased with this color. It also dried amazingly fast which was awesome as well. Here is a look at the other colors The Balm offers.

Over all I must say that I really like MyGlam. They are doing a great job. I used to subscribe to Birch box and only received about five boxes and alot of the product I never really used or thought I would actually by and the samples were truly samples which could only be used once or twice. I rarely liked anything I got from Birchbox....maybe about 25% of the box was something that excited me. Now with MyGlam, I use ALL of them and these are not 'deluxe samples' three out of four of these product where FULL SIZE products. PLUS a bag that can be reused as opposed to the nicely packed cardboard that can only be used to save pencils or stationary in... I dunno, I threw mine away.
